The Blanket.
This is a blog where I will document the process of accomplishing the goals and resolutions I have set during my next year of life. “It’s all in the blanket” comes from the 2004 film I Heart Huckabees. It is a philosophical comedy during which the actors attempt to uncover the meaning of life.
I am basing the title of my blog on this film because it embodies many existential themes that I embrace and because I find it hilarious. I find humor to be incredibly important and enjoy seeing the comedic value in everyday life, or even serious situations. I consider I Heart Huckabees to be a Hollywood cinematic bible of sorts that helps remind me of the interconnectedness of the universe (the blanket.) If you have not seen this film, I highly recommend it.
“It’s all in the blanket” is my way of saying “it’s all connected.” I would like to use this space to explore my interests and motivations, as a way of piecing together my own theories and finding out where I fit in this big-small world.
